For this week's blog, I will write about what I'm thankful for in life. I am thankful for many things. I'm thankful for God being in my life, my family, having a wonderful partner/ teacher for CKTV, and being a part of the CKTV Ohana.
I am thankful for God being in my life. He has done so much for me. He helps me feel better when I need help. God made me the person who I am today. He makes me feel more safe and always helps me when I'm discouraged, sick or angry. The other week, I got an F on a Social Studies test and I asked him "please don't let mom get mad at me." She didn't get mad, however, she spoke to me about why I got an F and what I need to do to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I am also thankful for my family. My parents do so much for me and my brother. My parents put food on the table for me to eat, they protect me, they take care of me, help me in whatever I need help in, and last but not least, they LOVE me! My brother does a lot for me too. He tries to be comforting, he loves me, he makes me feel better when I'm feeling down, and he cares about me.
I'm also thankful for my CKTV partner (Haven) and my teacher (Mr. Matsunaga). Without them, I wouldn't know how to do many of the things I'm learning now, such as recording radios, using a camera, importing video's from an SD card to the computer and much more. I'd really like to thank Haven. She is the best partner you could ever have. She has taught me A LOT!
Lastly, I'm thankful for being a part of this CKTV class. I actually tried out for leadership and I got into both of the honors classes, but I chose media because you can learn leadership skills and learn other life lessons. I'm glad that I chose media. I really enjoy it! I enjoy being a part of the CKTV Ohana because this is a new experience for me and am learning a lot of skills.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, it is important to reflect on what were most thankful for. I am very thankful for what I have. Thank you all and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
