It's great to have I pads because it keeps you organized and is way more fun. For media class my teacher put apps on our I pads to help us. So far I've only used "G-mail" and "Google Drive." It has been really helpful because is easier to use and it is also faster. Now I don't have to go on my computer, turn everything on, and wait. Now I can just turn on the I pad, go on the app, and finish what I need to do. But the bad thing about it is that its not really durable, so if I dropped it the I pad would break. If the I pad broke I would need to pay for it with my own money.
So far Haven and I are doing good on our Solar Energy project. We've done seven interviews so far and they all went perfectly. We interviewed Gregg Matsuo, Shelley Paik, Michael Tresler, Sharry Glass, Ben Sullivan, and Mayor
Bernard Carvalho. The project has been a little difficult for me because it is my first time doing a project like this. The first reason it was challenging was because we had to drop off and pick up each other for the interviews. Second, we had to make sure everything was packed and that we had extra equipment. Third, we had to call and e-mail everyone to see when they were available. Dropping off and picking each other up was difficult because Haven lives in Kalaheo and I live in Lihue. The rule about this is if you take someone to an interview, you also have to take them back home. Haven's grandmother and father were nice enough to pick me up and drop me off at home. My mom did the same thing after an interview with Michael Tresler. Packing equipment and putting it away was also hard because you had to take double the amount of equipment in a bag to take with you for the interviews. Also, we had to set everything up and make sure everything was plugged in and in the correct place. If the interview goes badly (no sound, too much noise in the background, not recording) Mr. Matsunaga may scold you. Calling/ E-mailing everyone was the most difficult job because sometimes the person may reschedule at the last minute or may not get back to for a couple of days. We have a quarter to finish the project. This means we need to transcribe, edit, and make the video nice. Transcribing is when you listen to everything the person is saying and typing it out word for word. In conclusion, this project has been really fun and tough. I learned that youneed to be extremely organized in order for this project to go well. I hope you liked my blog and please read more! I saw a really cool and awesome video on youtube. It was a Christmas video with Victoria Justice and Max Schneider singing "Moves Like Jagger, Payphone, and She Will Be Loved." What made it so cool is that every where they go there
are signs saying the lyrics. Like on the TV, computer, refrigerator, shirts, or walls. Another cool video is one of Max and Victoria doing a medley. The song they did was "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire." To me that was the coolest one because they used phones to do the video. Go on youtube and search it! :) |
