First off, I want to say that I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas and a Happy New Year! I haven’t done a blog post in a while because it was winter break. For this week’s blog I will write my new semester’s resolutions. It is similar to a new year’s resolution, but it is for the new school semester in media. This is perfect because we are all starting to work on our own this quarter. For my resolution I would like to work on three things; improve on turning things in on time, my editing skills, and getting to know the people in the media class better.
The first thing I want to improve on is starting earlier on my projects and not procrastinating. I have to admit, I did procrastinate a little in my 1st and 2nd quarter projects. When Haven and I worked on our 2nd quarter projects, we had to turn it in a little later. I also want to try posting my blogs 2 days earlier than when I usually do, which are on Sundays. This was really bad, because I always ended up scrambling to revise it. This semester, I will try to start writing my blogs on Mondays or Tuesdays so I can be done by Thursday or Friday.
The second thing I want to improve on this semester is my editing skills. I learned a lot from Haven, but I am still unsure of some things. In order to improve, I will continue practicing and asking my classmates for help.
The last thing I want to improve on, is getting to know my classmates better. I want to do this because when we go to STN, we will be working together very closely and we will rely on each other a lot. This semester, I will make it a point to have conversations with my classmates and get to know them. My goal is to learn one new thing about each person in media, that I didn’t know before.
These are my 3 new semester’s resolutions. I really, really, really want to excel and improve in these areas. I hope you liked my blog. Wish me luck!
