I will talk about what I did, how the day went, and what I've learned. The Chiefess Kamakahelei Television (CKTV) class and I went to the opening ceremony for the STN competition. Some groups in the class, competed in the competition. The groups that competed, included anchoring, commercial, and music video.
During the opening ceremony, guest speakers talked about how STN changed their life and that they became really successful because of it. The student of the year talked to everyone in the front of the ballroom. His name is Cameron Quon. He had some tips for us to remember while competing. The tips included motivation, having team work, and humility.
Another thing the class and I did, was go to breakout sessions. Some of the breakout sessions I went to, included an editing class and another class called where I watched videos/ talk about what's happening.
After going to the breakout sessions, the CKTV class and I went to the middle school mixer. The mixer is when all the different middle schools that are competing in STN, mingle with each other and play games.
The last thing the class and I did, was go to the show case. This is when we watch previous videos that different schools have produced.
Overall, I think the day was interesting and fun. I learned how to make youself comfortable in a presentation. Simply relax, and get into a comfortable position, but a piece of advice, don't get into a position where you are to comfortable, that will fall asleep!
